Should I write only in Telugu?
Not necessarily. Much of Paluku’s audience prefers Telugu, but they’re equally proficient in English. If you prefer writing in English, or you feel the topic you’re writing on may be expressed better in English, you’re welcome to it.
How much does membership cost?
Oh, crores and crores! Nah! Membership is free, we just want you to write good content, and if you’re here to read, we hope you enjoy the content here. There are no ads, no membership fees, and no monetisation models on Paluku.
Then how do you maintain this?
Through the benevolence of a few!! Really, it doesn’t cost much. If the site takes off and gets to millions of viewers or something, we’ll rethink financials then. Hence Paluku is a simple site, and while we hope you enjoy your stay here, we apologise if you don’t find some bells and whistles you’re used to on more premium websites.
I’m a newbie to blogging. Is it difficult to post on Paluku?
Nope. Paluku is hosted on WordPress. A standard WordPress login screen is what you’ll see, login with your username and password, you’ll see ‘Posts’ on the left side panel. Choose ‘Add post’ and you’ll see a screen similar to MS-Word. Just publish your article, preferably add a suitable picture, choose a category from the right side drop down, add any tags you wish (for better search results) and publish. That’s it. You can view the post and share on your social media profiles. The post is up permanently. You can edit any post anytime, any number of times, and publish again without changing the URL. It is very easy. And since it is WordPress, you can just google the answers to any tech problems you may run into. There is a ton of information you’ll find.
Who owns the content I post on Paluku?
You do! We will not use your content for anything. Paluku is just a platform for you to showcase your expression. You are free to remove content anytime / publish it elsewhere / you own it. Mee ishtam!
What kind of content can I post on Paluku?
Any content which subscribes to our Publishing Guidelines is good to go! Text, Image, Video, Audio, you’re the boss. Content which others will enjoy engaging with.
